Clinical trials come in as many forms as the scientists and technicians who conduct them.  The current Psychological trend is to place those under care in natural conditions and observe their behavior - away from the therapist.  Hidden cameras and recording devices aid the researcher in documenting and analyzing the results of the trial and usually go a long way towards defending from the inevitable lawsuits.

Sometimes the science of mental health care is advanced greatly by these trials.  Sometimes it's not.  You decide the scientific efficacy of this one as subjects "Perky" and "Pendulous" (names changed to protect their privacy) attempt to join forces in a routine team building effort.  Just don't jump to conclusions...
